What gravitated me towards this product was that 1) it presents itself as a moisturizer -- something that I'd really love post partum; and 2) that it's tinted to at least cover the redness on my face. So yeah, when the Happy Skin Second Skin Tinted Moisturizer came out, I just really wanted to try it and feel the ingredients work on my skin.

Packaging-wise, it's gorgeous. It reminds me so much of the Chanel and Glossier hand creams, but just better looking with the beige color and simple curves. It's real easy to clean since it's made out of plastic and it has a nozzle which I have a love-hate relationship with. Unfortunately, it's not that secure since every time I shake the tinted moisturizer, it just kinda spills a bit.

The Happy Skin Second Skin Tinted Moisturizer comes in five shades which is a pretty good range and I'm in the shade soft beige which is for medium skin with yellow undertones. The formula is runny, feels very lightweight on the skin, easy to blend, doesn't have any strong scent, and I was truly surprised that it applies matte and dries matte. I was expecting this ultra hydrating moisturizing glowing formula, but it wasn't and I was a little bit sad.

It does have this blurring property and it really blurs out the large pores on my nose and on the cheeks area. It makes your skin texture look soft and smooth but not actually similar to your natural skin -- kind of like a better version of it. Coverage is sheer but buildable and I'd prefer to have only one layer of this tinted moisturizer because I don't prefer the finish.

Overall, I actually think the Happy Skin Tinted Moisturizer would be better for those with oily skin. It has this matte natural-looking finish and it kinda makes my eye area look drier when first applied. I super love the blurring and smoothing properties that it has on skin, but you still have to use concealer for dark spots and redness. The oil-control this tinted moisturizer has is also amazing and I wasn't expecting it for something that's labeled moisturizing. 

I like the product, but it wasn't the effect that I was looking for. I still use it daily and I just use a different moisturizer first before applying this one over. Works very much like a korean bb cream, just with a ton of great skincare ingredients.
